Sharon Lynn Osboe (Baker) was born in Marietta, Ohio on October 1, 1950 to Robert and Delores Baker and was a beautiful blessing in this life for 67 years to so many who loved her. She entered peacefully through Heaven’s gates on December 5, 2017 in Glendale, Arizona with her family by her side after a long struggle with complications from COPD. There was nothing in this world that she loved more than being a Momma and a caretaker of the broken hearted, downtrodden, and faint of spirit, and she mothered as many who would let her, even some who didn’t necessarily realize they needed it, but she did. Pointing others to Jesus and helping them come into a fuller understanding of who He is, what He did, and why was always her primary goal in her mothering of others and she accomplished that goal many times over in the lives she touched. She had a deep love for people and became fast friends with most everyone she met.

She moved with her father, mother, and younger brother Robert Jr. (Buck) from Ohio to Arizona when she was eleven years old and aside from some years living in other places, Arizona is where she resided most of her adolescent and adult life. Growing up she greatly enjoyed the popular music of the day and learning many different dance styles and she took dance lessons for many years. Dancing at home just for fun with her kids was something she took great pleasure in. Beautiful music and music sung beautifully was something she had a deep appreciation for. She also enjoyed singing herself and had a beautiful voice which she loved to use to worship the Lord both in church and at home. She was fascinated and awed by God’s artistic handiwork and creation of the natural world, and she loved to look at pictures of and read about beautiful plants, animals, landscapes, and dinosaurs especially.

One of her absolute favorite things to do was to deeply research and study the Bible and the history and future of the Christian church as well as many other topics related to spiritualism and religion. She desired to understand all she could about all of it and she invested literally hundreds of hours reading and listening to Christian teachers she trusted. One of her dreams had been to go into the field of nutritional research and development but due to her various health problems and choosing instead to go into the noble field of motherhood she didn’t officially attain that dream. However, she did enjoy dedicating a good majority of her time to extensively researching nutritional information and health related topics to help herself, her loved ones, and friends.

She graduated from West High School in Phoenix, Arizona and worked in a wide variety of occupations including for Mountain Bell Telephone Company, the Arizona Department of Corrections as a phlebotomist, and DentiCenter dental clinic in California in accounting. After relocating back to Arizona, she established a Christian based, child care center in her home and ministered to many children and their families for many years. Her final place of employment was with Maricopa County conducting screenings in the Adult Probation department. She retired from Maricopa County after battling years of health problems that made it impossible for her to continue working. In her retirement her favorite things were talking to and visiting with her family and friends in her home, over the phone, and via facebook. She also loved to look at her pictures and talk about her kids, grandkids, and great grandkids with her husband.

Sharon was reunited with her father, mother, and brother in Heaven whom she’d greatly missed and longed to see for many years. She is survived by her husband of sixteen years, R.J. Osboe, daughter Lori Rayner and husband Steve, daughter Tina Cox and husband Matt, daughter Sunshine Sanger and husband Tarn, granddaughter Amber Paschall and husband Jesse, grandson Jesse Rayner and wife Cassie, grandson Caleb Berry, granddaughter Christiana Berry, granddaughter Johanna Rayner, granddaughter Kaytlynn Sanger, grandson Andrew Sanger, grandson Caedmon Berry, great grandson Paxton, great granddaughters Haisley, Ivy, and Aabcidee, and another great grandson on the way. She is also survived by stepdaughter Allison, stepdaughter Megan, her husband Ross and their son Easton, and many aunts, cousins, nieces, nephews, and brothers and sisters in the Lord whom she loved and cherished dearly.
