Obituary for Dennis James Nelen

Dennis James Nelen
Dennis James Nelen, born March 8th, 1954 in Colver, Pennsylvania to Verla Nelen and Marinus Nelen. After high school he enlisted in the U.S. Marines and served for 12 years. He met and married Cecilia while in service and was married for over 25 years. Through this marriage, he welcomed 3 children, Mary Rose Rollins, Albert Ruegas and Claire Hugo and would later have 2 additional children, Dennis Nelen Jr. and Charles A. Nelen. After leaving the Marine Corp, he went to work for Motorola and later creating his own company, Lab Tech, and just recently began enjoying his retirement. Dennis was an avid fisherman, especially bass. He loved being outdoors, camping, hunting and all things Pittsburgh. He took great pride in his children and was a loving grandfather of 11. Family was what truly made him the happiest.

He is preceded in death by his father and mother as well as one brother, Patrick Nelen.

Denny is survived by his children as well as 3 of his brothers, Eugene Nelen, Mark Nelen and Charles Nelen and 4 sisters, Doris Barczak, Anna Nelen, Bonnie Stasko and Margaret Nelen. He was loved by many and will be missed dearly.

Service to be held on Friday March 16th 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Falconer Funeral Home 251 W. Juniper Ave Gilbert, AZ 85233
