Jimmie J.  Fowler
Jimmie Jeffries Fowler, age 82 from Mesa, Arizona passed away on Monday April 2, 2018. He was born In Foster, Oklahoma at home to Carl and Sarah Fowler on September 30, 1935. He was the second oldest of eight children.

He went to Glendale High school where he excelled as a baseball player and played for the Arizona Senators Farm league. He once got kicked off the bus with Marty Robbins for singing Hank Williams’ song, I saw the light. He worked in a grocery store called Farmers Supermarket owned by Fred Ong, who is from the Ong family in Gilbert, associated with the original Liberty Market. He married and soon after started his family. He then moved to Gilbert, Arizona in 1966 and made his life as a heavy equipment operator working for Hunter Construction and Allied Sand and Rock until he became disabled in 1983.

Jim was an avid gardener and Diamondbacks fan, he loved his family and really enjoyed his grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Nothing could remove that smile from his face. Even up to his last days he was still smiling and laughing his contagious laugh. He left a lasting impression with anyone he came in contact with and will truly be missed by all.

He is survived by his children Debbie Quintero (Curt Cottle ), Cathy Ruiz (Jesus), Della Rosales (Benny), Darrell Fowler (Sue), 11 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren, brothers; Gene (Easter), Carl Lee (Barbara), Mike(Marie), Sisters; Louise Winfrey, Brenda Irwin. Preceeded in death by parents, Carl and Sarah, Son Gary, Brothers Billy (Candice) and Carol (Ruth) and Sister Evelyn.

Services will be held At Falconer Funeral Home, 251 West Juniper Avenue, Gilbert, AZ on Wednesday, April 11, 2018 at 10 am.
