Jean Ann Becker passed away peacefully at the age of 74 on Monday, May 8th, at her home in Gilbert, Arizona with her family by her side.
Jean was born September 18, 1943, in Chicago Illinois, to Gene and Ann Guardian.
Jean worked over 20 years for the phone company, Ameritech Services, in Schaumburg, Illinois. She held many roles, from payroll to purchasing. Jean retired from Ameritech Services in 1996. She then moved to be closer to her family in Gilbert, Arizona in 2000.
Jean enjoyed gardening and spending time with her family and friends. She will be remembered for her spunky and feisty personality, the laughter that she provided to everyone she encountered, and the adoring love for both her daughters and grandchildren.
Jean is survived by her daughter, Nancy Lonigro, her three grandchildren, Sydney and Nicholas Lonigro, and Savanna Von Oepen, her son in law, Ernie Von Oepen, and her many friends that she called family.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Connie Von Oepen, her father and mother Gene and Ann Guardian, and her brother, Bruce Guardian.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, June 16th, at 3 p.m. at the Islands Community Center, located at 825 S Islands Drive West, Gilbert, Arizona.
